NSF/ANSI 40 is the World Standard for Residential Wastewater Treatment
Engineered for NSF/ANSI 40 Performance
NSF/ANSI 40 requires exceptional performance. Eco-Nest™ systems feature our patented Bio-Brush®, delivering measurable results where it matters. The water leaving the Eco-Nest™ septic tank is 30% cleaner compared to aeration alone.
A More Stable, More Effective Treatment Process
Aero-Stream Eco-Nest™ aerobic treatment system uses a fundamentally different approach than traditional aerobic units. Our process provides stable, consistent performance.
Instead of relying on suspended growth bacteria (like inverted Imhoff cone designs), Eco-Nest™ uses attached growth bacteria through the patented Bio-Brush®:
- Massive surface area supports dense bacterial colonization
- Bacteria remain fixed to the media, continuously treating wastewater
- Greater resistance to shock loads (organic and hydraulic)

Engineered to Perform Through Failure
After completion of the 26-week certification testing the Eco-Nest™ AS500-1 (single chamber class II) was operated per the NSF/ANSI 40 testing protocol for another 29 weeks with the air compressor turned off to simulate an extended mechanical malfunction. The system produced effluent average quality of 46 mg/l CBOD5 (68% removal efficiency) and 18 mg/l TSS (88% removal efficiency).
Eco-Nest™ systems include all equipment required to implement our patented treatment process. You provide your locally available tank.
Designed for flexibility in the field, Eco-Nest™ systems integrate with locally available precast or poly tanks, reducing installation complexity and overall cost. In some cases, existing tanks can be utilized. By leveraging local components, Eco-Nest™ systems ship UPS Ground, providing contractors with a cost-effective, easy-to-source solution that performs reliably in real-world conditions. Eco-Nest™ is available in 450–1500 GPD ratings (450, 500, 600, 750, 1000, and 1500 GPD), and can be configured in single, double, or triple chamber layouts to meet site and code requirements.
